I am a CIT teacher of English to adult migrants and I live with my 25 year old son, Jackson, who has a profound intellectual disability. You can read about him, my other sons and me here: www.jacksonwest.org I have a huge back yard with is growing nothing much except weeds. I am keen to provide this land for others to grow food on - I can help but it is too big for me to tackle alone.

I'm intersted in landshare: 1) because we have a large block which I desperately want to be more productive and at present I'm not too sure where to even start. We've added lots of fruit trees over the years, but it lacks any sort of logic or design. I'm therefore very keen to hear from others who might be interested in planning out a garden 2) to find growers to work with us (in Campbell) 3) to find growers who would like to work on my parents land (in Downer)

Hi! I'm a busy single Mum who works full time and lives with 3 lovely teenagers. We love our home in Kambah and moved in here 12 years ago. We inherited what was once a beautiful garden. I'm not a gardener but wanted to learn but life has overtaken me. First the drought killed everything and now all the rain has made everything overgrown. It has become an overwhelming task to just try and keep up with it. With the right kind of TLC it could be a lovely garden again and nothing would make me happier than to share all of this space with some keen gardeners. My backyard would be ideal for a vegetable garden. My front yard has some roses that I planted a few years ago and my hope had always been to start a rose garden or a cottage garden. I would love to be able to pick flowers to keep inside and share some vegetable produce. What I would be open to would be gardeners who would like to make sections of my garden their own. I am not locked into any ideas and would welcome theirs. I do not have much money to put into the garden so my initial thoughts would be that the gardener would supply what they needed (I I have some tools, lawn mower etc that they could use) and I would supply the land. However this is something that we could discuss.

I have a large backyard suitable for a veggie garden. I also have 3 courtyard areas as well as lots of garden space at the front of the house. I live in a quiet cul de sac opposite Urambi Hills. I would be happy for any potential gardeners to make the garden their own in exchange for some produce or flowers to cut for inside the house! The areas of my garden can be divided or used by just one person..it all depends on how many people are interested in my land. I have been in the house 12 years and it was once a lovely garden (before we moved in!) but the drought and the rain have taken its toll and it is too much for me to maintain.

I am retired (rewired) and love gardening, reading and cooking. I have a cottage sized block behind my house in Scullin (Canberra) ACT. There is street access on two sides. At present I just get the grass cut. The block is fenced and secure. It would be too big for me to manage if I plant it out, so I think Landshare is a great idea

Hullo Landsharers, my wife and I live with our three young adult children and their grandmother on a lovely 1200+ square metre block in the heavily treed suburb of Spence. We lead a busy life which precludes us from tending our established vegetable garden as much as we would like to. We have had some bountiful harvests of garlic, potatoes, onions, beetroot, carrot, celery, artichokes, tomatoes, pumpkin etc in the past but we just cannot seem to devote the time required to maintain this harvest. We would happily share our garden with folk who would have the time to make it more productive than we have been able to in the last 12-18 months. We also have three established plum trees, an apricot tree, a grape vine, a pomegranate tree and some new olive trees. Total area available is approximately 150-170 easily accessible square metres. Happy to talk with interested folk about a Landshare arrangement.

I am passionate about food, gardening and community. I began gardening because I love food and it made sense to grow, pick and eat fresh tasty vegetables. I got started with permaculture and did a PDC in Central Victoria. I am now keen grow vegetables using an Elliot Coleman style production garden.

Hi, we moved to Canberra a couple of years ago from South Australia and love life here - particularly the natural environment and wide open spaces - and live just a short walk from Mulligan's Flat Conservation Park and plenty of parks. But living on 325 square metres we miss growing our own fruit and vegetables - having left behind an orchard with thirty heirloom fruit trees and a 150 square metre vegetable garden. We've managed to squeeze in some espaliered cherries, pears and apples, some berries and some vegetables and herbs in pots but we're keen to spread out a little.

I am an ecologist with an interest and some experience in ecological farming techniques. Ultimately, i want access to some land to live and work on as a small-scale commercial producer. I'm just jumping on this website top have an initial look at the existing level of participation. I'd be keen to be involved in/help out on a local project (within 1 hour of Canberra) if you're doing something interesting and need a hand.

I'm a 34 year old who has a growing concern about climate change, the unsustainable use of our planets resources, and most importantly what kind of world i will be leaving for my children (Abbie 3 years old, Daniel 18 months) and their children.

We live on an average suburban block and are gradually filling it with fruit trees and perennial veg. Would love to have chickens - that's coming soon I hope! We've been doing basic crop rotation, but generally use the space to fit what we can through spring/summer and then go into growing hibernation in winter. Our front yard is used as well for food production and natives, but again, we'd love to fit more in to increase harvest and also preserving ability. We love chatting to others about their gardening experiences and sharing ideas, possibilities and dreams!

Hi there, my 2 daughters (aged 7 and 9) and I would like you grow some veggies but unfortunately we are new to it all and are not really sure where to start. I was thinking that if there was a local grower that would be interested in allowing us to help out 1-2x per week or if we started with a small area to plant some more basic produce then we could go from there. I would love to hear from you if you are interested in giving us a go. Thanks
